| Field notes | Single stem 10 m tall, 15 cm diam, w several prop-shoots at base; lvs 6–7 along upper 4 m of stem; sheath 165 cm; petiole 63 cm; rachis 225 cm; pinnae 9–10 per side, twice branched, w praemorese leaflets; fruiting from top (hapaxanthic), oldest infructescence near top, younger ones lower down; peduncle 60 cm; rachis 65 cm; rachillae 45, inserted directly on rachis, 45 cm long; fruits green, turning black and then red. |
